keitheats at L’Alouette

We have driven past L’Alouette on Rt. 28 in Harwich Port at least twenty times and, for whatever reason, never went for dinner.
What a mistake. We took friends with us and words spoken were over the top. “Best meal I’ve had on the Cape.” “Love these corn fritters.”
“So comfortable.” “The waitress was so nice.” “We’ll be back.”
The meal began with a special appetizer for the table. Lobster, Crab and corn Fritters with a Bahamian Style dipping sauce. corn-fritters
We could have eaten just this and left happy.
My wife ordered the Veal Blanquette which was so tender (I stole many bites)

I had a gargantuan plate of Sole Francaise that was perfectly cooked. Very delicate beurre blanc sauce over mashed potatoes. In size it competed with the Weiner Schnitzel in Vienna that literally was larger than the plate.

Christian Schultz, formerly the chef at his restaurant in Chatham, Christians, took over L’Aouette recently.
Don’t drive by as we did. You’ll be missing great food and atmosphere.
